Penn State Mark
in the Eberly College of Science

The department provides many opportunities for undergraduates to get involved in research. Direct research experience is exciting, and a great way to prepare for careers in science and engineering. Here is a listing of faculty who have expressed interest in mentoring undergraduates in research.

If you're interested in doing research, feel free to explore the research programs in the department and don't be shy to approach faculty members and ask to chat about possible opportunities.

In addition to individual connections between faculty and undergraduates, students at Penn State and throughout the country can also link up with faculty through the deparment's NSF-supported Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program. The REU program operates each summer and has an online application.
